Starting From: The Hideaway - Walkerville Fruit Farms

Starting Time: 7h30 for 8h00

Ride Description: A flat route on single and jeep track out in the middle of nowhere with a bite late in the ride as it climbs 200m in 2km up Spioenkop. Bring money for breakfast afterwards. No beginner or green level riders please.  Visitors at R30.00 per rider.

Directions: Direction from the N1:

Take the N1 South. Follow signs Bloemfontein Kroonstad.
At the GRASSMERE TOLL PLAZA.
Keep far left.  Follow signs R 558 Ennerdale Walkerville. Toll fee is R 6.00.
At the off ramp turn left, R558 Walkerville.
At T Juction turn left. No signs
Follow road 400 m.
Turn right. No signs. Informal settlement must be on your left.
Follow road 7 km. T Junction turn right. R82 Vereeniging.
Follow road 4 km. Turn left. Sign posted HideAway. Follow signs HideAway.  PLANTATION ROAD, left MURIAL, very sharp left CIDER. 

From the North:

Take M 1 South, past Gold Reef City.
Follow the signs VEREENIGING (R 82), past Southgate Shopping Centre. Approx distance to go 35 km.
Take R 82 to Vereeniging. Cross over R 550.
Cross over 4 way stop in Walkerville.  At 9 Km, , turn left  sign posted HideAway. Follow signs HideAway.  PLANTATION ROAD, left MURIAL, very sharp left CIDER.
Do not  exceed the speed limits on this road.

From the east:
N3 South, N12 BLOEMFONTEIN, KIMBERLEY, take R 59 VEREENIGING. Approx distance to go 46 km.
Take off ramp (DALESIDE INTERCHANGE) RANDVAAL,  ( R 557) turn  right cross over  highway. 13 km T junction.
Turn left VEREENIGING ( R 82). At 7  Km, , turn left  sign posted HideAway. Follow signs HideAway.  PLANTATION ROAD, left MURIAL, very sharp left CIDER. 

You have gone too far if you get into De Deur. Second hand car dealers and building supplies. Make U turn and head back to Johannesburg, approx 1 km past the last shops, is the turn off to the right.
