Ride Groups: Yellow, red and blue Ratings - Technical: 6/10 Hills: 8/10 Distance: 40 Km
Starting From: Penine Rose Pub
Starting Time: 7h00 for 7h30
Ride Description: This ride follows the Railway line to and from Heidelberg, and will include a loop by the military base, very gnarly, serious climbing. A recce team will attempt earlier (Saturday) to change the route from the traditional to an even more fun route. This is an Feral ride and will be tough, please NO BEGINNER(Green) LEVEL OR UNFIT RIDERS!! There is a pub halfway and Penine Rose is also a pub - bring money for cold drinks halfway and beers in the pub afterwards.
Directions: From Johannesburg take the N3 towards Heidelberg, travel for a long time on this road (almost until you get to Heidelburg). Take the R23 Benoni off ramp, turn right and travel for 5km. Look out for Penine Rose on your left.
