Starting From: Emmarentia Dam parking
Starting Time: 7h00 for 7h30
Ride Description: An easy Sunday morning ride starting at Emmarentia to Paulshof and back. This has some of the best single track in JHB and is well used by all in this area. A very nice outing for new riders, with harder longer rides for the stronger groups. This being a family ride, stronger riders are encouraged to test the next level.
We will all head towards Albert’s Farm (Green will skip the hill) and return past the Dam to continue along the Spruit. Green will go up to Delta Park and back, Yellow to Fratelli’s, Red to Pick‘nPay, and Blue all the way to Paulshof. We will all return back to Emmarentia in time for coffee afterwards (bring some money for refreshments at the tucked away cafeteria).
Visitors at R 30.00 per rider.
Directions: From the N1 south (concrete highway) Beyers Naude off ramp. Turn towards Cresta / Northcliff, travel past Cresta and further past Northcliff Corner in the direction of JHB. At the West Park Cemetery, on your right, turn left into Thomas Bowler-Botanical Gardens on your right. At the four way stop, turn right into Olifants Road and travel towards the dam wall. Just before going over the dam there is a concealed road, there turn right and you are in the parking lot. Look for the JMBC feather.
NB: Roadwork is underway on the section of Olifants Road along the dam wall and it will remain closed until December, therefore approaching the parking lot from L.Geldenhuys Drive is not possible but it can still be accessed from Beyers Naude.
