Ride Description:
Huddle Park has constructed an 8km MTB circuit within the grounds of the Golf Course. The park offers easy, windy tracks, with some climbing and fast descends towards the end. This section is very easy for beginners and can be taken fast for the more advanced groups. Once complete, the groups can go outside for an extended loop into the Sizwe (Edenvale/TB Hospital grounds). The Green group will take the easy loop and the yellow and upwards groups will find it somewhat hilly and a bit more technical. A bit of tar for red/blue taking you out to Sebenza on the outskirts of Kempton Park, followed by a long single track back through Edenvale and down Dickie Fritz, which will provide you with plenty of exercise :-).
The park offers excellent alternatives for the whole family (trout fishing, driving range, putt-putt, etc). This is a MTB friendly place (obviously), so let’s please support the local establishment. For more information see www.huddlepark.com
Entry fee R 20.00 per rider. JMBC Members will be subsidised (assist by proudly wearing club colours), while non-members must pay JMBC the R20.00 entry fee in addition to the R30.00 JMBC visitor fee. Bring money for coffee or breakfast afterwards.
Directions: Travelling along the N3, take the Edenvale/Linksfield Road off ramp (M16) towards JHB, follow the road (Club Street) and Huddle Park entrance will be soon on your right. Look for the JMBC feather at the bottom left side of the parking lot.
