Ride Description: This ride venue has a little bit for everyone. For the greenies there is a gravel road/jeep track path round the perimeter – venture onto some of the single tracks if you are so inclined. For everyone else, a whole lot of forest single track, some hills at the back fence, and a slick rock climb. There is a very technical track for those inclined to test their skills to the limit. Don’t miss this one…
Non-members @ R30 per rider per ride to JMBC as well as the R50 for the Modderfontein management (JMBC pays Modderfontein directly for all fees so you’ll have to pay us, not Modderfontein). JMBC will subsidise members.
Directions:
Driving south along the N3 take the London Rd offramp and continue straight along Peace St until the 2nd major intersection, turn left here into Johannesburg Rd. Carry on to the first traffic circle and take the first exit, still Johannesburg Rd, continue until you arrive at a T junction, turn right into Centenary Rd then first left under the Gautrain bridge, turn left at the next T junction and the entrance to Modderfontein Trails are in front of you.
Driving north on the N3 take the Modderfontein Rd offramp turning right at the top and heading towards Kempton Park, go through two major intersections then bear left to Thornhill, this is Johannesburg Rd, carry on to the first traffic circle and then follow the above route.
Advise the boom attendant that you are riding with JMBC.
Follow the road for about 3km. Just past 3 Admin buildings on the right, look for JMBC banners probably in field on the right.
