Ride Description: Starting from Nikita we head out on gravel road and single track until we reach the Broederstroom Harties tar road (R512). We cross the R512 ride some more single track cross the R512 again, some more single track and some tar next to the Hekpoort road. We ride through some farm lands and some country single track and then the stronger groups can climb the Swiss Restaurant Mountain and descend to the gorge where they join the others. After riding through the gorge and quarry, we ride some country tar road past Oberon Resort. Then its up and over the concrete strips for an awesome view and then down the Crocodile river pass and single track. Finally we ride the long haul back uphill to Nikita which consists of lots of single track, a little tar and more single track/gravel road. The finish is a magnificent fast downhill back to the Nikita parking lot.

Please note no beginner or green level riders please! Bring money for breakfast afterwards.

Directions: Head out on Malibongwe/Hans Strydom past the Lanseria Airport intersection, pass the Home of the Chicken Pie (Maggie’s Farm) and approximately 10km further on on the right hand side is the Nikita Pub and Grill. There is a large parking area.

NOTE: This is a Lime group and this is how it works:

You have to email Mike (mikeburrell74@gmail.com) with your cell number if you want to come with this group. If Mike doesn’t contact you by phone before Saturday, the ride group is ON he will not contact you unless the ride is off). If there are not enough riders by Saturday (at least 7 without the leader), the group will be cancelled and you will not be able to ride with the standard yellow group (their pace will be too high and the mountain climbing severe). So do not just pitch for the ride group on Sunday – contact Mike. This rule applies to all Lime Groups when we have them.
