Welcome to Johannesburg Mountain Bike Club!
The Johannesburg Mountain Bicycle Club, known as JMBC, was established in 1989 and remains dedicated to the joy of off-road cycling. The club consistently arranges social rides throughout most weekends of the year, catering to diverse rider preferences. These rides accommodate various pace groups, covering distances suitable for a wide range of fitness and skill levels. This allows riders to find the group which best matches their abilities. Every week, a different starting venue is announced. This brings extra diversity into our rides and offers a great opportunity for riders to discover Johannesburg's lesser-known areas on a bicycle. The trails, mainly situated in open land, are crafted with the intention of incorporating as much single track as possible. Visitors are always welcome for a very nominal fee of just R30.

This Sunday’s JMBC outride is from Logwood Village NPO.
Our Trailmaster has put together some great trails to suit all groups. Ride groups will ride variations of the route ranging from 25km to 44km, it has a bit of climbing but nothing to worry JMBC’ers. To get there, be sure to use Beyers Naude Road off the N1 and then turn into Sunset Drive, which will take you to Logwood Village. Park in the grounds of Logwood Village.
As many of you know Logwood Village is JMBC charity of choice. After the ride the Village residents will be offering Bike Wash & Dry, tea, coffee, cool drinks and toasted sandwiches for sale. Please stay and support them 😊
Spring start times meet at 7:00am to ride at 7:30am. Ride Group Distances are Green 25km, Yellow 30km, Red 35km, Blue 44km. Visitors are most welcome at R30 a rider.
Requirements: A reasonable level of fitness is required, a tool kit and being familiar with riding on single track.
